My favorite mountain range east of the Mississippi is The Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway area in North Carolina, The mountains are so beautiful here and not exactly a tourist trap so you can easily enjoy the peace and view. Fall colors were starting to fade away in the higher elevations but I still managed to capture some stunning colors. The streams were a little dry due to lack of rain so I didn’t visit many waterfalls as I usually do when I visit in the spring. Spent a week waking up at 4am and driving to my destination to capture sunrise, rest and plan out my golden hour sunset shot locations which were mostly around Cashiers, Highlands, and the Blue Ridge parkway. Went way out in the boonies of Cataloochee Valley in search of wildlife and got lucky enough to find a herd of elk and a couple deer to capture from a distance with my 600mm lens. Black Bears are scarce going into winter months so I plan on returning in the spring to capture them in the fields. Crank up your screen brightness and see my shots below.
